"FULL DISCLOSURE" provides a record of one U.S. Marine unit's actions in Iraq. But in a larger sense, it explores the consequences of these actions, for Americans and Iraqis. The documentary is a cautionary tale for current and future U.S. military endeavors. It also provides a measure of accountability for actions taken by the United States in Iraq. Even as President Barak Obama draws down the combat force in Iraq, the damage and discord from years of war, occupation, and sectarian brutality remain, as do tens of thousands of U.S. troops and private military contractors.
Many people in Iraq and the Muslim and Arab worlds hold the United States responsible for the chaotic and violent aftermath, and they will continue to do so, even after the last American soldier departs. In other words, the war is far from over. (57 minutes, 2009)
